The Spirit makes us humans
Keywords:
spirituality, spirit, people, human beingAbstract
Spirituality is a trait that differentiates us from animals. Thanks to spirituality, the human being is able to understand himself, discover who he is, why he lives and what bonds and values are crucial to achieve the meaning of his existence and be happy. The beginning of spirituality is the human reflection on one’s own uniqueness, thanks to which an individual is able to think, make decisions and love. The fullness of spirituality is achieved when we open ourselves to the work of the Holy Spirit and when we let ourselves be guided by his gifts, especially the gift of wisdom and love, because these are the basic conditions for following Jesus and entering the path of holiness. Spiritual development is the foundation of education and the criterion of Christian maturity.
