Abstract

The purpose of Catholic andall honest media professionals is to restore the original function of the media, which is to inform the public about the reality (information function) and to promote pro-social attitudes , especially of truth, goodness and beauty (formative function). In the context of low (anti) and in the face of postmodern culture media, which specialized in misinformation and distortion customers, working in the media sets the highest standards and moral personality. Responsible media personnel are able to beonly those who are aware that as a physician is to heal rather than harm, as an employee of the media should inform and shape rather than manipulate and demoralize. The condition of the responsible fulfillment of the mission of the media is not only good will in this regard. A prerequisite is to acquire professional skills and have specific talents and abilities in this regard. The idea is to not only have the right, but the right to be able to communicate in a manner appropriate to the medium and to take into account the situation and conditions of existential perception of the recipient. You have to remember that almost all media consumers are incomparably more critical of those who communicate and form than to those who misinform and deform. This is why the Catholic media employee should be like Jesus. This means that it should be as clean as a dove and wise as a serpent. When there is clear and honest in his own life, then he will have taboos and will be afraid that someone reproaches him his own weakness. When, in turn, will not be smart in the good rather than the wicked people are smart in evil, then you are allowed to make fun of, ridicule andconsequently the truth, rather than defend it. Responsible media employee is committed to the highest standards in their personal lives and their business media, because he knows that the first information which reaches the recipient is a person who provides information, either that person radiates honesty andfascinates good or corrupts and pulls the viewer into evil. In the media there is no room for compromise, as there is no compromise of truth, or a good compromise.
