The foundations of hope
Keywords:
hope, God, Christian hopeAbstract
In our mortal life, each of us needs hope that would give us strength to face the hardships of everyday life and not to doubt the meaning of life. The word hope is mentioned about 150 times in the Bible. Christian hope is more than just optimism or "positive" thinking. Solid hope is based on a threefold bond of love: with God, with oneself and with others. Saints are the people of the greatest hope because they love and accept love in every situation. The loss of hope is a signal that our lives lack love. A man filled with hope coming from love knows that they can do all things in Him who strengthens them (see Flp 4:13).
